Oooo a challenge! I'd be up for that!
I had some leftover in my account and made an effort to do a few surveys in some downtime at work this morning - the am@zon vouchers are reduced atm so managed to snag a £5 already
back on a roll lol.
Thanks for asking, I've been using the cream they gave me and I'm having the first treatment of 3 on Saturday. The cream has helped to reduce the old scarring, interested to see how the treatments will be. I did a fresh spot on Saturday, but as the woman said they're hormonal/stress so I won't get away with never having them. I'm a proper stresshead :rotfl:My issue is that they always scare after I have one, so it never quite goes away!0 -
Yay. I've been on swagbucks tonight as it happens!
How about £10 or £15 of vouchers by the time you go on holiday? Doable?

I'm in for £15! I have £5 already, does it count?
I'm off for my first skin treatment today, I'll update on the progressI'm already seeing a difference with the product I bought after my consultation. Don't you get facials as well Ena? I must say I've tried to get some cheaper ones near me, and I had a really good experience and then a really bad one at the same place. The bad one the girl went out for a smoke and left me waiting for ages, then came back to finish the treatment stinking! Think that made me realise there's no point skimping on treatments like that lol!

Went out last night for a colleague's birthday - was a great night, and didn't spend loads because her partner insisted on buying the drinks! So I only spent bus fare, McD's (naughty but I'd had no dinner
) and the uber home. Was sensible and had two bottles of water while dancing away but I still feel it this morning!
Off for my facial, then need to go to Tesco to pick up our holiday money for Prague. Bit early but I'm trying to get into the habit of being organised lol! Then I need to fit in a 4.5 mile run, some yoga, and finish my book. My cat's a bit miffed he didn't get snuggles last night or today, but I'm sure I can fit them in this weekend tooAlso need to remember to clean and hoover my car.
I didn't mention here but I'd bought myself an oskia skincare item as I'd asked my mum for it for xmas (I ask for the more luxury toiletries I don't buy myself), and as you get £10 off your first order I bought it and she gave me the money. Anyway as it turns out they were doing a promotion where some people win a free one - and I won!! It's worth £30 full price so very happy with that. Just had to take a picture of the ticket they sent me and tag the company in it. It came yesterday so I've got a brand new bottle to crack open
Happy weekend!0 -

Erm no. Nice try lady, nice try£15 it is then
ChicaBonita, you will go on my first whistle. Orange Ena, you will go on my second whistle......:rotfl:
Well done on winning, that's marvellous :T Hope your skin is feeling lovely and hydrated. Yes I get a facial every 2 months and I love it, it definitely makes my skin feel and look better. I pay £39 which I think is a tad expensive but I have paid more for facials when I've been to R@gdale Hall so in that way it's good value. She comes to my house, I'm relaxed, she never rushes, she's professional, we have a laugh, she loves my cats so you get what you pay for! One time she couldn't do my nails for my holiday so I had to book in with someone else who was cheaper, but she had a "no frills" way about her. Never again!

Hahah Ena it's ok, I'm gonna be determined now to get £15 by the 26th :money:
Yeah I think you definitely get what you pay for, I've not been one to get beauty treatments really until this last year, where I've had a few learning curves!
I've felt like my brother's bearded dragon with my peeling skin since my facial hahaha. It's a modern version of a peel from what I understand, but they're not allowed to call it that anymore. It's not bad peeling, just a bit of dryness. Definitely see a difference already in the scaring though so I'm happy!0 -
Not much to report - got 3 gigantuan spots on the face again, must be hormones. So annoying though as it's on my cheeks and it's very visible and scars
Keep telling myself it's not the end of the world.
We were meant to go and see one of my bf's friends live on stage on Saturday (he's a comedien) but unfortunately bf had to work. However, it could mean a £1000 spot bonus, which he would put straight into the deposit fund, so it's not a total loss.
I'm back to training properly for my half marathon, really happy with my progress so far.
Money is ok - bought a couple of pairs of jeans in tesco on the weekend, not completely in budget but they are so cheap (£16!) and I really struggle with finding good bottoms to wear, either at the office or just day-to-day. So an expense but necessary as they will carry me through for a few months. I'm eating baked beans on toast for lunch at work (half a can a day) and it's working out well. I buy 4 cans for 99p and a loaf of bread for £1 so that's the way to go until I get bored lol!
Need to get a move on with xmas presents - might be going shopping on Friday to sort bf's last few bits, then it's onto the more awkward people in my life who never tell me what they want!! My xmas fund should cover all expenditure in this regard, I'm not panicking (just yet).
Wish I had some movement with my house fund, but alas this month is not to be. Will try my best to save some next month!
Have a great week everyone!0 -
How's the sw@gbucks challenge going? I've just claimed a £10 Am@zon voucher :T:j:p Hehe.

Well done Ena! I'll be honest, I've not had much time for swagbucking...0

So I've lost my way a little with the spending this week. Work has been AWFUL this week, I can't imagine how it could've been any worse. It has been sapping all my energy and I've had no time to even think. Got to Friday and I just hit a wall, I was so tired. I'd arranged to go shopping with my mum in the evening, at a place about a 30 min drive from us. I still went because she was helping me with an xmas present, but when we got home I was fit for nothing. Felt sick and dizzy.
Had another facial yesterday, they did more layers of the acidy stuff so hoping for some more progress. Then my bf treated me to lunch in town, and I went home and had a blissful Saturday afternoon/evening to myself. Bleached my bathroom, watched What Not To Wear on youtube (I used to LOVE that programme when I was younger!), and did some reading. Think it was precisely what I needed.
Up early today to squeeze in my long run of the week. Off to a fancy pub for the bf's dad's birthday this afternoon, the menu looks lovely. Not MSE-friendly I'm sure, but not much can be done about it. I will enjoy myself and not worry.
The coming week will be busy as we get ready for Prague, will have to try and keep spends down as much as I can. All I really need to get is bread for work lunch, some more baked beans, and a mid-morning snack. I've not done my full packing list yet, so something may crop up, but most things I need I will have in some form already (or my mum will, she's great like that lol).
Once I get back from Prague the race is on to finish my xmas presents. The graphic designer that was doing my bf's parents' present has FINALLY completed about a month of me chasing (not too pleased about that), BUT the final result is amazing, it really looks like their dog. Will need to get that printed at a company over here and then that's done. I think I have about half of my presents, I've got ideas for most but just need to follow through. I usually do that stuff in downtime at work but I've had no downtime to speak off!!! Hard life.
Anyway, I'm gonna get a banana down my neck then get ready to run in this dreary weather. Happy Sunday0
