Kosher cooking help .

Hello, I could do with some urgent advice please! I've got four French girls staying and I was not given any notice that one of them is Kosher, so she won't eat any meat in our house or cheese or shellfish.
Last night she has
D a plate of plain rice and a bit of green salad because I'd made chicken curry.
For tonight I have started a vegetarian bolognese which should be OK, but I had plans for HM pizza one night . Basically I need two more dinner ideas. For seven people.
She will eat scaled fish but I don't and therefore I'm no good at cooking it.
I'm at a bit of a loss and they at lovely girls so I'd like to make the effort..

Or you could buy kosher food from the supermarket and feed her normally. The only thing she can't eat is pork and shellfish and don't mix meat and dairy. Everything else is fine as long as it's kosher blessed.

I struggle a bit when DS1 visits with his girlfriend who is vegetarian with a dairy allergy. My easy go-to meals are vegetarian chilli, Thai green (or red) curry made with Quorn, and a vegi cassoulet with vegetarian sausages (need to check pack for dairy tho). These always turn out nice, and can be made special with the accompaniments you serve with them.

Thank you, looks like vegan is the way forwards!
I don't think there is any Kosher food sold in the supermarkets here. I've never seen any at least. The Jewish population in this part of the world is minute afaik.people have to leave the country to find a partner which is sad for the whole community.
I think she said no meat because she's assuming it won't be kosher and th correct.
I love vegetarian food but I'm a huge cheese fan , guess I can manage for a few days though!

    How devout is she?

I have relatives who won't drink milk that's been in the same fridge as meat.

Also under kosher laws if a pan cooks non-kosher meat then that pan is contaminated and can never be "clean" though I don't think anyone bothers with that any more unless Hasidic.

I don't think she can be that devout or this trip would have been impossible for the reasons you've mentioned.
I've settled on veg spag Bol.
Butternut squash and coconut milk curry with naan bread
and baked potatoes with salad, baked beans or ratatouille and cheese for those that want it.

Last night she did have some shop bought hot chocolate fudge cake for dessert.

You can still have cheese. You just can't serve meat and dairy together

My fav midweek veggie meal is cheese and onion pie, whole family loves it

    Really easy and very tasty

Just don't use lard in the pastry

Red Leicester. Cheap as chips from tesco. Just the regular sized block is enough to feed 4/5 people. You may want to make two. Delicious cold as well
