How can I tell if I left my laptop on this morning?

I left for work this morning and I'm not sure if I left my laptop turned on or not. It's going to be bugging me all day now (I'm a bit funny like that!). Is there a way I can tell if I left it turned on? I did have dropbox running. I'm thinking maybe I could upload a file to the shared folder from work and see if this…
