Looking for ideally an Android tablet but unsure whether to go for 7 inch or 10 inch. Can anyone recommend a good one they have or use?
Also may consider an Ipad but there are so many options out there unsure what to go for, do they all use iOS 9? Not sure of difference between ipad Mini, Ipad 2, Ipad Air...
It would be nice to have 10 inch size for each. Wll also consider refurbs for at the budget end £80+
Thanks in advance

depends what your requirements are...
7" vs 8" vs 10" depends on whether you need it portable and what you want to use it for. i.e. watching TV programmes, bigger screen is better but some people just prefer larger screens. I find 7" to small but 8" okay for a portable tablet that's easy to hold. (I have both an iPad Mini and iPad Air (10") though)
With earlier iPads, the newer the OS, the slower the tablet. iPad 3 is starting to show signs of sluggishness. My Air okay. iPad Mini 2 is still okay so anything that generation and above is fine.
For Android, I quite like the Sony Z3 Tablets. These have SD card slots which help.
Samsung ....hit and miss but probably the most mainstream one so probably lots of used models out and about. Some people love theirs. I had one that developed a screen fault (fixed by Samsung) so I question quality. Screen on iPads are nice but so are the more expensive Samsungs.0 -
i have had an ipad 4 (10" screen) for the last few years. good tablet but i hate apple's restrictions about what you can and can't install on it and i hate having to use itunes to add music, pics etc and also non expandable storage.
i recently bought a google nexus 7" 2013 32gb edition new from argos for £119 (the 16gb version was on sale for £99). i wanted to run certain android compatible streaming apps that apple have decided i am not allowed to run on my ipad (without jailbreaking it, but that's another story).
it's brilliant and i reach for it far more often than for my ipad. screen is excellent, and music and pics can be easily dragged and dropped onto the device via my laptop with no 3rd party software involved. i find the 7" size perfect for personal viewing of tv etc or reading from the screen and its very easy to hold a tablet of that size as opposed to the larger screened ipads etc.0 -

I have the Nexus 7 and a Sony Xperia Z tablet - both a couple of years old now. The Nexus is great, but I prefer the 10" screen of the Sony - my eyes are on their way out a bit. Depends what you are using it for, but I tend to use the Nexus for listening to radio/music etc. and the Sony for watching stuff and games.0
