Reporting a car anonymously

I've reason to believe that a car i'm asking about isn't taxed, isn't insured & the driver very likely has no licence.
Either way, it's most certainly been in an accident.
The only thing is it's now parked on private land. Not land that is owned by the person who owns (or at least was driving) the car, but private land all the same owned by a company.

How can i report this anonymously & who do i report it to?

Is this private land somewhere which the public would have an expectation of access to?
  • Well it's accessible by the public. It's a private car park which the public can drive on to but technically they're not supposed to stay without permission. It's not policed very well though. Or patrolled very well, whichever phrase is preferred.
  • Well it's been SORNd but it isn't insured.

I filled out the crimestoppers form, but if the car gets moved then who knows where it'll be.

    Thanks.

Well it don't need tax and the need for insurance isn't 100% clear. Are the public meant to be there or are they technically trespassing? If they are entering without permission then it doesn't need insurance.

If it's been Sorned and is on private land then there is likely no requirement for it to be insured.
  • Even though it's not their land?

So because it's on private land, even though it's not theirs, the police wont be interested

And as such the person will simply be A-ok to come back, move their car, and go drink driving again in an uninsured car with no licence.

Can't help but feel something isn't right there.
  • Do you not have anything better to do with your time. As others have posted, if the car is SORN, it doesn't need to be taxed or insured.

Your story about the driver seems to be ever evolving. First they were "most likely in an accident" now they're drink driving without an licence. If you're so concerned why don't you fill a thermos flask and carry your own little stake out of the vehicle and notify the Police if said driver returns.

For continuous insurance no but under the road traffic act it may need insurance if the public have access.

(a)a person must not use a motor vehicle on a road [F1or other public place] unless there is in force in relation to the use of the vehicle by that person such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complies with the requirements of this Part of this Act,
    Section 143.
