Kitchen sink blocked

Kitchen sink blocked.

Tried

Kitchen unblocked chemical shot
Soda powder
White wine vinegar

Unscrewed u bend - was a bit mucky but not too bad. Cleaned it.

Flow is better than before, but still not straight throigh.

Anything else I can try?

Blockage seems further down the line.

Caustic soda should clear it but I would be wary in case there were traces of other chemicals still there.
  • Beware of caustic soda.
I used a plastic 2ltr coke bottle to dilute it with water and it got hot and misshaped very quickly...worked though.
The rubbish stuff (you know the names)will only clear your wallet. Its as much use as throwing a sausage at a dartboard.

I don't trust myself with caustic.
    So is it plumber then?

Try a full kettle of boiling water.
The plumber will and empty your wallet for watching.

Lol. OK. I've done kettle of water like hours ago. As well as the 3-4 aforementioned.

    Plunger?

I do find a kettle of water left to soak often works on one of my loos which often blocks. Might be worth another kettle-full or two.

Are there any more joins to the waste pipe you could undo and check? If it goes straight outside to the drain can you put a stick up that end and feel for any blockage?

Jet wash high pressure water shot down the sink?

By the grace of God I think I'm unblocked.

Chemical shot, soda powder, vinegar, boiling water and u bend ckean.

No idea which did it, but must have been some serious delayed action.

Need to invest in that pump mentioned earlier as I don't have a plunger.

Currently working throigh cleaning a pile of dishes as living alone and no dishwasher they pile up :j

I don't know if I spoke too soon.

    Flow seems find.

Few weeks ago had a new washer fitted due to old one leaking from the seal (yep no luck me)

So the grey rubber pipe coming out of the washer and into the main pipe is foaming up from the top of that other pipe.

    The washer is not on.

I'm guessing it's the washing up liquid I'm currently using as that pipe joins to the pipe which is connected to the grey washer pipe.

Erm, what do I do about that? Bought washer from curry's and fitted by know how.

Is it a washer issue or pipe issue? Guessing I don't use the washer now?
