I have a stack of CD's I can listen to instead LOL

I'm going to email the station I listen to regularly - may not do any good but that's *their* choice ;)

The censorship that took place raises more questions. I bet some children ask, What is that Mum/Dad? Why is the black mark there? etc.

I now refuse to watch ITV without recording it prior via Freeviw PVR at leastI can skip adverts.

Thank you for contacting us. As of November 2004 the regulation of broadcast advertising passed to the Advertising Standards Authority. Therefore any complaints about advertising should be addressed to them. Contact details and an online complaints form can be accessed via their website, www.asa.org.uk

However, with regard to you concern about the frequency of these particular advertisements, it is worth noting that the Advertising Standards Authority really only has a remit to investigate complaints about the content of advertisements rather than the frequency with which they are shown. Provided broadcasters adhere to the Rules on the Amount and Scheduling of Advertising and Code of Advertising Standards it is entirely to their editorial discretion when and how often particular adverts are shown.

Therefore any complaints about the simple fact the Jamster Crazy Frog adverts are irritating and shown too frequently should be referred directly to the broadcasters. If audience reaction is hostile they will presumably have to rethink the scheduling of these ads.

    Yours sincerely,

I have emailed Ofcom. Please let something be done about the damn frog/birds/dragon so I don't feel the urge to kick something every time the adverts are on. I fear for my b/f and my sanity!

Just noticed post above - dammit, will have to email itv and Channel 4 now.
What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!

Well, they replied rather rapidly with the following...

We understand the ASA has been in touch with ITV about erroneously redirecting callers to the ASA / Ofcom when such scheduling complaints should be addressed by them. They have provided assurances that their staff at the duty office have been informed of the regulators' limited remit with such scheduling complaints.

So it looks like we're back to complaining to ITV then at dutyoffice@itv.com

    Hi All,

In work we have Radio City 96.7 Liverpool (based in a tower, 450ft above the world famous skyline don't you know!) on all day, and like other emap stations, they place that stupid frog advert all day. Just glad that the customers and other sounds drown it out!

That said, its FAR worse seeing it on ITV during the daytime - Anyone who chooses to purchase this ringtone (if you can call it that), is indeed crazy!

    Cheers
