Are there any bank account "tarts" out there?

Santander online banking has been down all day so considering switching to Yorkshire Bank with their lovely £150 switching bonus.

Has anyone got any good tart stories over the last few years where they have moved from bank to bank hovering up these nice offers?

I suppose contantly changing accounts is awkward for payroll etc if you are tarting and i suppose it takes 3 months+ to release, get the money and go elsewhere.

But I am sure there are some savvy MSE tarts? Anyone?

Huge numbers of people have switched for the various switching offers. Most people keep relatively quiet about it, in order to keep the offers going. You can find mention of all the switching offers on this forum.

Couldn't or didn't know if a Tesco Internet Saver account was treated
like any other Tesco account, several hours ago. ;)

I was setting up DD's from 16 when I had my first mobile phone contract 20+ years ago :rotfl:

With the 36 redirection of funds paid into your closed account now solves this issue, there is no need for you to contact your payroll, your switching bank Current Account Switching Team does this for you, and if you get payments into your switched account they are forwarded on to your new account,

This is great for those annual/half yearly payments you have forgotten about or DWP/Pension payments who are notorious for not changing/updating details fast enough.

You wouldn't have got bonus/payments for all those though?

Can you switch 2 accounts that have 2 DD and £1k+ monthly payments to Yorkshire Bank & Clydesdale and get still £300 (2 x £150 - as they are owned by same parent company)
