Debt free and now a s1ag...buy one get one free ;)

Yep save the change is live on my TSB Classic Plus set up recently. Just click the link on the bottom right menu on online banking. They set up an e savings account to deposit the change from my £100 contactless spend lol

Any bonus accounts that don't require £1k pay in but have 2 DDs on them and with no monthly fee?

Also could you pay £1k into one account, then have a standing order of £1k to another and then finally transfer that to a M & S 6% saving account. Then qualify for extra £10 a month they add on to £100 gift card?

    What you on about?

One step at a time, read up all the info on here and then ask focussed questions! Its like trying to untangle a ball of string but I'd rather you did it than I.

The Halifax Reward account has £750 per month pay in, 2 DDs and no monthly fee...

    Yes.

No as it only allows £250 per month which must be transferred in by standing order from an M&S current account.

Yes but you'd need to switch an account to them to get this as it's a switching offer.

TSB's (and Lloyds') "Save the change" is a pretty unattractive way of saving money. The main reason being that it does not offer any any free cash - it's all exclusively your own money that gets moved about, and in tiny amounts. Whilst there are still cashback credit cards, you will most likely do a great deal better by paying as much as possible by CC, and putting that free cashback money into an account that pays decent interest.

There is also a danger that you'd move money from a 5% TSB Plus account into a TSB account that pays mediocre interest (the 5% TSB Monthly Saver is excluded from the "Save the change" scheme). Whilst it is unlikely to be a huge amount of money that would be moved that way, the principle of moving money from a 5% account to an account that pays significantly less simply lacks logic.

Click Save the Change®™ under 'Your account tools' on the right-hand side of 'Your accounts' page. This link will take you to the registration page.

I wouldn't touch it. It's been an obsolete approach to saving for at least 7 years, and I doubt it ever was anything more than a gimmick.

That is where I was heading. Dose the change count as part of the transaction with regards to the 5% reward.
