I bought online from Debenhams Plus mobile phone which was delivered too late for my purpose. I'm canceled order on their website and returned phone untouchable and factory sealed to store next day. I'm paid returning cost. Now they are attempting to charge me a 25% restocking fee for returning. This is a legal ? Thanks for any advise

Their website only quotes a 10% restocking fee in certain circumstances.
Have you got this in writing? What reasons are they giving?
Do the terms and conditions allow you to return to store?0 -

Yes, here's some advice... try reading what you have written before posting.
For example, what does "I'm paid returning cost." mean - especially when you are telling us that you returned 'to store'?0 -

I think OP just means returned to them - as they said they paid the returning costs.
From the sounds of things, the phone has arrived damaged. Is that the case OP?You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Sounds to me like there was nothing wrong with the phone at all (OP mentions it was "factory sealed") but OP simply returned it as it didn't arrive when they expected it to.
Given the phone was not faulty I'd suggest that a re-stocking fee would be fair.0 -
I'm read return policy but they showed me point 18.1 terms and conditions. It's more like a daylight robbery than a fee. in my case it's £108.25 for 100% resalable phone0

Did you make this purchase as a business?I bought online from Debenhams Plus mobile phone which was delivered too late for my purpose. I ask because in their Terms and Conditions they do mention a 25% restocking fee, but only for business purchases. See Condition 18.1.
Even for consumers, their T&Cs are wrong - in particular condition 8.1 and 8.7.0 -
very sorry, my english is not well i'm just try get advice for solving problem. The phone returned unused, unopened, factory sealed box0

I've bought from debenhams many times and this doesn't sound right.
What have they actually said. Can you copy paste the email or correspondence.0 -
Unfortunately, when buying from Debenhams Plus, one is not buying from Debenhams. See here.marliepanda wrote: »I've bought from debenhams many times and this doesn't sound right.
Although it is easy to see why people might think they are buying from Debenhams.0
