SkyTV 25% Off

Hi
I am just off the phone with Sky. I managed to get 25 % off. I asked to be put through to the cancellations team when i was on the main menu on the phone. Im just wondering if I should have pushed them harder and maybe got a better discount than 25 %. I did the old "looking at my finances and need to trim the fat rountine" but Im wondering if there was any team above who I spoke too who could have got me an even bigger discount? Anyone think its worth ringing back? Im signed up for 12 months 9 of which is at 25%. Many thanks for any advice given.

    you havent given numbers.
25% doesnt really tell what you are paying and what for.

Sorry but that's a pretty bad deal, last week got 50% discount on the full package and £100 credit.
  • Yes, it's a bad deal. You should have cancelled, like numerous threads on this and other forums tell you. Then you would have been offered at least 50% off.

That's what I got, but only after cancelling when they offered me a 25% discount to stay.

My daughter has today moved into a new house, and she's got Movies and Sport, Fibre Broadband and Line Rental for £47 for 12 months. Plus £125 for her and £125 for me in vouchers for recommending her.

Was a while ago(2 years ago), but I found Sky would give 25% offers quite easily, given the 'don't really want to leave but too expensive' routine

To get the bigger offers you have to come across more like 'I've found a cheaper deal and want to cancel' , for me the better deal was now tv and a no subscription youview box. I was offered 75% off, which i declined, after leaving got 50% plus credit\gift offers several times a year

Too late-there is no cooling off period on a contract extension, as they will surely have told you during the call when you agreed the 25% cut.
