MBNA not paid your cashback ?

This won't make you a millionaire but... last year my MBNA credit card cashback was £9.44 (I know, but it's a money saving site) When this mysteriously disappeared from my account at the end of 2015, I obviously sent a message to ask why. They said anything under a tenner wasn't paid out. End of conversation-they thought. I messaged straight back and (politely) told them I wasn't happy with it, and still couldn't find this info in the small print. (Sure it's there somewhere but I wasn't trawling through it ;) ) Anyway, they forwarded it to the complaints department and hey presto, I had it paid today. OK, it was as a goodwill gesture but money is money. So, if they didn't pay yours, message the cheeky sods :)

i've never earnt any cashback from MBNA, i just find them to be the best Balance Transfer company to work with..
for cashback Amex continues to lead the way, supplemented by special deals from Nationwide, and TSB debit card contactless payments.

I don't even know what that is :rotfl: I just mean whatever percentage of £s spent it is that they give you.

    Morning all,

Just received a letter today from MBNA Reward Credit Card advising that " " as of 22 April 2016, you will no longer earn Reward Points " and " to redeem any points accrued by 23 May 2016 ". Anyone else got this letter !

I have a MBNA card for a lot of year's as i use money transfers for small loan's. It only had a point's reward, never got a lot of point's so never used it for this. I have a BT card run by MBNA that gives cash at end of year based on your spend.

I have not received a letter saying the point's reward has stopped, but would not be bothered as you needed a heck of a lot to get anything good.

Do you use the amex card alot? Generally i can get around £300 a year (mainly vouchers i take) based on my yearly spend, works out around 2.5% cashback

I just had letter from MBNA saying they are stopping giving me Cashback (which, by the way, they only pay if you have over £10 owing for the year). They blame "a new piece of European legislation that came into effect in December 2015". After 22nd April they'll be sending me a new (non Cashback) card. I shall be cutting up the two MBNA cards I have and applying for a different Cashback card. Bit of a bummer as it's my "card of choice" for large purchases, Amazon, Paypal etc.- so have to change several on-going accounts. Has anyone else had this letter? I'm a rubbish customer for them as I always pay off my card in full and they pay me! I wondered if this was the real reason behind their letter.
