BIN immediately, but i did bid on something last weekend and didnt expect to win i put 50% of the BIN price compared to the sellers other listings for the same item. It was just a reminder really to check again when it ended.

I forgot about it and didnt check my emails for 2 days, then i got the you won emails and thought what have i won :)

So it got paid 2 days later and it arrived on Friday.

I think thats the longest its ever taken me to get paid.

Well they finally paid late last night, so I posted it this morning.

It actually cost less than I thought (i went with eBay estimate) and more annoyingly if I had packaged it carefully, I could have sent it as a large letter.

It would easily go through the large letter slot, but the post office woman said as it was floppy in a bag, then that would be forcing it through, so I had to pay for a parcel. Grrrrr.

Normally I would refund the extra postage, but as I had to be waste 30 minutes of my day when I was hoping to post it when I posted the others, then I shall keep the extra 80p!!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I usually pay straight away (as I mostly buy BIN items when I do buy). If it's an auction, it can sometimes take me a few hours if I'm at work, for example. But I have the eBay app on my phone, so I am notified straight away when I have won, and I won't clear away that notification until I have paid (so it's my little reminder).

I think wanting to go to work or to sleep is a very valid reason to delay payment, I certainly do not plan to only bid on things that are ending when I can sit in front of the PC- I bid on far too many things to do that.

I had a dozen or so bids in over night last night, 've won about half of them and paid this morning , if I had been working outside the home I could well have delayed paying until I came home this evening.

Buy it now I pay straight away. Auction I normally bid on my phone last second but don't pay till next log on to a proper computer. I won't use PayPal on my phone but interestingly I get an e-mail from PayPal every so often that tells me normally around 80% of my customers use their phone to buy and pay on.

Don't take this this the wrong way, but I don't really care what you do or why you do it. I was speaking for myself.

Why assume that my post was a chastisement of you or anyone else?

Given that I bid on things that end at times I will be available to pay, like 17 hour window in this era of smartphones, I pay immediately. Nothing I bid on ends when I am asleep or when I am away from home.

My Poll Response: Up to 8 hours

I usually pay immediately on buy it now items.
I try to pay immediately on auctions unless they close when I am at work, asleep or otherwise occupied, but I pay immediately as I see it.

I think some people wait to pay, due to waiting for pay day or funds to come through in some other form, but for me personally, I wouldn't bid or purchase on something I didn't have the money ready for.
