Iphone 5C insurnace for 14-15 yr old

Hi,

My daughter is going away soon and wants to take her phone with her to keep in touch.
I want to insure he phone to know in case of mishap it will be replaced or repaired.
The MSE insurance plan with insurance to go is only for over 16's so does anyone know a any insurer that will provide this cover?

see if you can add it to your home contents insurance or if its covered already although your insurance excess may wipe out most of the value of the phone

Remember that if it's a contract phone, it's not hers but yours, or whoever's name the contract was taken out in, and while in her possession, even with your permission, it's most unlikely to be covered for damage or theft/loss.
Probably cheaper to get her a basic SIM-free smartphone for maybe £50 to use on her trip.

I think I'd be more concerned about huge unexpected bills for useage. The loss of the phone will pale in comparison if that were to happen. Unless, of course, she's on PAYG or one of those rare truly capped contracts.
