Package holiday cost breakdown

Options
Hi, I've recently booked a holiday for 2 adults and one child. This is for me, my friend and my 9 year old son. I have asked the company for a breakdown of cost for each adult and child, as I need to know how much my friend needs to pay for the holiday and how much I need to pay for me and my child.
The holiday was bought as a package and the holiday company are refusing to give me this information giving no reason why.
I know that the child will cost less as it's an all inclusive deal and the hotel charge adult rates and child rates, and also flights are usually a little less for a child.
The holiday company are being vey rude and I've made a complaint. Is there any regulation to make holiday companies give a breakdown of costs to customers?? It seems crazy that they can't give me this basic info. When we booked it we thought they'd send us an invoice with the breakdown on!

Could you not just go on the web site and price up the holiday for two adults and then two adults plus a child and work it out from there?

Whilst they won't breakdown the individual cost elements on a package holiday, I have never come across a tour operator that doesn't provide a per person cost for the package. This would normally be shown on your holiday confirmation paperwork. Have you received the confirmation invoice yet? Can you name the tour operator?

Flights are the same price for adults and children. It makes no difference how a hotel charges, it's different when you book a package via a tour operator.

You should be able to get a 'breakdown' by going on to the tour operators website, or a least a good approximation of the child price because the cost may have changed since you booked.

    Which tour operator is it?
