T-Mobile opt out 2004, breach of t & c's
I successfully opted out of my T-Mobile contract during the first 12 months in February 2004 as a result of them changing their terms and conditions and to give T-Mobile their due it went smoothly with very little difficulty.
Many thanks to the originator of the info.
Now, more than 12 months later, without so much as a by your leave, the phone company who originally supplied the hardware are demanding money for their apparent losses incurred as a result of my actions, even though the phone was included in the deal at no cost to me.
Is anyone else in the same boat and what are your thoughts, please.

tell them to sod off (unless there is a term in the terms of sale between you and that company permitting this)0

I should have thought most phone resellers' contracts DID expressly include such a term - preventing you from cancelling the contract within the minimum term. In which case they are quite entitled to demand money for their losses.
I don't see how the fact that they gave you a phone makes this LESS rather than MORE likely.0
