You can knock up an affiliate website with Wordpress even using links of Woocommerce.

To be honest you'll be fighting an up hill battle, the days of making money via Affiliate Marketing are long gone.

You are competing against cashback, voucher sites and big sites that hover up the traffic. Google killed rankings on AM sites back in 2011. You can see the trend below for searches for Affiliate Window to see how the air has gone out of AM.

Affiliate Window is the best place to start if you want to proceed though.

Get a bargain shared hosting plan for £5-£10 per year and start building your Wordpress offering.

The best thing is to go niche if you want to succeed.

thank you, I do believe my niche is competitive, I have done lots of research on it

what should I be looking for in a bargain hosting plan. apart from support obviously? site builder? particular SEO plugins? anything I should prioritize? Thanks

Depends on your content, no good having to supply your visitors with 1GB of data to make 10p if that GB of data costs you 11p in bandwidth.

How are you going to advertise your site? Going back to the late 90's even my AOL pages got high rankings on google with just my personal content.
These days it would probably not be in the top 10 million.

Teaches you howto do it properly, its all about the content... and then getting that content visible.

Dont forget that once your content goes online it will be stolen and replicated the world over if its any good.

They tools are out there to decrypt almost anything, so encryption would just be another cost to empty your wallet.

    Thank you for your feebdack

One last question, Is it still recommended to have domain and host with 2 different providers? or can it be the same and it doesn't make much difference?

I tried to start a site last year and I bought them separately, when it was time to transfer the domain with the host it was quite painful, sending them ID scans, proofs of address with weren't accepted etc... I'd rather avoid that ! or have I been unlucky with this particular provider?

Domain and host from whoever provides the features and price you need.

I use Easily and 50webs. easily because i used them for my first site and every site since and it doesnt seem overly expensive. Do i shop around though nope.

50webs because i can host 10 main websites and unlimited subdomains etc etc all in one price approx £40 a year? Again i originally had free space with them then paid when i needed more.. Checked specs and prices.. oopss again no.

So there maybe better and cheaper but im too lazy. My sites work and its not breaking the bank.
