  • For homemade pizza I use a 1:1 mix of tomato ketchup and tomato puree - easier to spread than puree alone while thicker & more tomato-y than ketchup alone

    1. Coat chicken breasts with Tom Sauce and then dip in crushed crisps, roast in oven....
    2. Mix in even quantity of Brown sauce for a savoury dip!
  • just used it on brass window fittings. First i seeped them in cola and then rubbed in ketchup. Rinsed with cola and they shine like they did 100 years ago

Wouldn't call it very exciting or surprising but I like making quick and easy faux pizza pockets with it.

Combine ketchup with pepperoni slices and cheese in pitta breads.
  • Apply to wasp stings. Vinegar runs off, sauce stays put better and neutralizes the sting. My DD`s ex was a roofer, they often disturb wasp nests and get a sting, since I told him to use ketchup he and his mates now keep a few sachets in the van in their first aid kit.

Take one standard mince beef pie , carefully cut around the rim of pie and remove lid - add big dollop of ketchup to the mince inside and mix well , replace lid and off you go - delicious
  • Seen this done to a dog sprayed by a skunk, cover in tomato ketchup leave for a bit and then wash off. Somehow it neutralises the smell. This works for smililar smells created by musk.

You can use ketchup to add fake blood to a Halloween outfit. Ketchup is a lot cheaper than the fake blood you buy from joke shops and doesn’t stain clothes. In its natural state, ketchup is not realistic, but then neither are most Halloween costumes. If you want to make ketchup look like real blood eHow has a recipe involving ketchup, cocoa powder and golden syrup.

It's great for cleaning old coppers and making them shiny and gleaming. A fun thing for children (of whatever age) to do that doesn't break the bank!!
