    The sweetness can be handy in balancing out dishes, eg chilli paneer. It can also be used in Chinese special fried rice but I will usually pair it with other flavours.

  • We also use it make BBQ sauce and sweet and sour sauce, goes into flavour meat for nachos, mixed with mayo and American mustard to make burger sauce.

    I use it if making chilli and I don't have any tomatoes to hand, it does add sweetness to the dish but that's OK :)

    I use it as a base for making indian meal style onion chutney/spiced onions. Delish!

    Maybe they just worked through the kitchen cupboard until they settled on ketchup....

    Pasta n sauce... nope
    Self raising flour... nope
    Fray bentos pie.., nope
    Baked beans..... Not quite
    Ketchup...... bingo!
