That did make me laugh.
We will see how my crystal ball fares relatively quickly.
Might I suggest you need a new one, yours isn't working very well and hasn't since 2014.0 -
Are we starting to see the cracks appear on DT (and elsewhere) from the staunch nationalists?
There is certainly a whiff of defeatism in the air re whether the SNP can deliver the promised land to the faithful.
I guess news like this doesn't help either:-A new report has shown how Scotland fell five places between 2006 and 2018 in the list of 32 countries which are members of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The ranking relates to tests on a string of measures including income, life expectancy and education. The nation, which now sits in the bottom half of the list, has “underperformed” in many fields since Scots voted for devolution in a 1997 referendum. If what she intends isn't something which gives Boris a metophorical slap in the chops... Sadly I don't expect she'll last much longer as SNP leader. Scottish party leaders who go along meekly with whatever a Tory Govt decrees for Scotland, usually find themselves on the wrong side of the Scottish electorate.
She has to go for it. If not, the core vote will go elsewhere to other new indy parties which will be launched. They didn't win 48 seats by promising to sit back and and let Boris Johnson set the agenda for Scotland. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

The only cracks between those who support Scottish independence at the moment are those who think Nicola Sturgeon is doing things at a good pace, and those who don't think she's going fast enough. We'll find out next week.. possibly Wednesday.

They won 48 seats by continually repeating "stop brexit" and keeping absolutely silent about independence; the "I" word did not appear at all in any pre vote literature in many constituencies, and the rhetoric about the result being a "mandate" only started once the results started rolling in.
The rest of your post sounds a mix of wishful thinking and outright desperation to persuade others independence still has momentum.
All in my humble opinion of course.0 -

This is the first part of their "Key Pledges" from their manifesto (page 4):Scotland’s future in Scotland’s hands
We believe that the best future for Scotland is to be an independent, European nation.
Not for our own sake, but because it allows Scotland to become the open, tolerant, inclusive and democratic nation we are determined to build.
By making all our own decisions here in Scotland, we could end poverty faster, play our full part in tackling the climate emergency, ensure a fair deal for pensioners and create new opportunities for jobs and our economy.
We have a clear mandate to deliver a new referendum on becoming an independent country, and we are making it clear at this election that next year we intend to offer the people of Scotland a choice over their future.
https://www.snp.org/general-election-2019/
There's also 4 references to independence in Nicolas vision from that page:
At the heart of our case is the belief that decisions about Scotland’s future are best taken by the people who live in Scotland, wherever they come from.
It’s a vote to put Scotland’s future in Scotland’s hands.
In any discussion, we will demand that the democratic right of people in Scotland to decide their own future is respected.
A chaotic, Brexit-obsessed Westminster could decide our future for us. Or we can demand our right as a country to decide our own future.
So whilst they never said "Independence", it's a clear theme that's obviously central to their manifesto, and part of the reason they got 48 seats.
Tories had a campaign of pretty much "Stop SNP & independence" and got 6 seats.

Great and typical Nat response. If you don't like the message shoot the messenger.
The pigeons are starting to come home to roost (re the economy. nhs, education etc), which is the reason for the desperation to get Indy2 done.
The people of Scotland blinkered by Nationalist rhetoric will wake up and see that the Emperor's new clothes are tattered rags within the next year or so. (Most of us know that already)0 -

They want a referendum. You must've seen those surely ? Here's Chris Law's from Dundee. It's front and center second commitment down.. Scotlands right to choose..' Don't you know Dundee quite well ?It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

It's just as much a rag as the ones that you’re so fond of quoting from. And just because it’s a rag, it doesn’t make the story untrue - which it isn’t.The fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists.0 -
Ok, let's look at the message then. Scotland has fallen slightly down the OECD rankings (as all countries will at times, they're not written on golden tablets) and this is evidence that Scotland should carry on as it is now... how exactly?
The implication that it's all devolution's fault is complete nonsense unless you can show a direct causation. Was Scotland the Garden of Eden before 1997?
"Scotland is going to hell in a handbasket, we must do absolutely nothing before it's too late." Genius.0
