Would that be because you too failed in discussion?
I am another waiting to be proven wrong regarding the assertion of jobs at risk, Brexit vs indy.
To remind you again:
Still waiting.
Have you not been following the recent posts on this thread then?
It's your prerogative to acknowledge my answer or not but I'm happy with it even if it doesn't fit into your narrative.0 -

Oh I have read but "a storm in a teacup" isn't an answer to the question.
It is deflection; avoidance.
If I ask "how much is that *whatever* " and you reply "Ah but it is after noon" that is equally not an answer to the question posed.
Same thing.
So, are you saying you will not answer?0 -
That report estimates the number of jobs linked to the demand for exports. Is our closest neighbor and ally really going to stop trading with us?
Brexit will make us lose our competitive edge which will drive down demand world wide losing business and lowering profits causing more harm and job losses.
That's more (Common sense) proof than any biased Westminster funded publication. Look at their track record.A_Medium_Size_Jock wrote: »Oh I have read but "a storm in a teacup" isn't an answer to the question.

You already quoted it but it's above just for you.

I don't click on Telegraph links in general. I don't rate a word that comes out of that paper regarding Scotland/The SNP or Sturgeon as balanced or even vaguely true most of the time.
Never mind. Try the Guardian instead.

If that last sentence is true then do you agree that the proposed timing of the referendum in the Oct 2018 to March 2019 timeframe is too early since the results of the Brexit negotiations will not be known at that time?
Once the other countries know the deal they are voting on, so obviously will Scotland = referendum/vote.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

As Muhammed Ali said: "Silence is golden when you can't think of a good answer."
Maybe try that instead?
Silence.
That is as direct an answer as I can give to that unknown.
So why didn't you take Ali's advice?
We all noticed the "experts" getting excited when the votes were coming in the other day, but as usual they shoot their bolt prematurely and didn't notice that SNP increased their vote count and massively increased their lead.
Silence was golden that night!0 -

The leaders of the Scottish Fishermen spoken about in the article, one is a total rabid unionist and has been for years ( Bertie something, his second name escapes me ) and one of the others I highlighted a few pages ago here is now under investigation for a disgusting twitter timeline of tweets threatening to 'take Sturgeon the b***ch out' and telling Brendan fox he was a 'liberal w*****r for wanting to set up a memorial day for his wife. I'm not sure they're the most impartial people for the Telegraph and the Guardian to be quoting to be honest.
What do you think the Tories are planning for fishing after Brexit ?It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Oh, Dear. I asked you about Sturgeon's response to Leadsom's letter, not what the SFF had to say about it. The letter is in full in this link:
http://www.itv.com/news/border/2017-05-10/election-row-over-claim-uk-government-will-sell-out-fishing-industry/
When you've read it, you might care to answer my question. Was Sturgeon lying? Most reasonable people would conclude that she was.
And in answer to your question, I think the Tories position is pretty clear from the contents of the letter.0 -

What I DO know though is that the fishermen used for authoritative quotes to back up push these these articles, who were also photographed posing with Davidson, are very dubious characters indeed and I don't trust them to be telling me the truth on this matter since at least two of them are rabid Sturgeon/SNP haters.A Scottish trawler skipper has had £1m seized by the courts after pleading guilty to a major role in one of Europe's largest illegal fisheries scandals.
Ian Buchan, 55, from Peterhead, was given the £1m confiscation order after he admitted illegally landing and then selling nearly £4.5m worth of mackerel in a highly sophisticated "black landing" scam to evade European fishing quotas.
The confiscation order, made at the high court in Edinburgh on Friday under legislation introduced to combat organised crime, is one of the largest ever made against an individual by the Scottish courts.
Anyway, do you not think fishing will come up at all in Brexit talks then ? And if they do, will May use them as some sort of bargaining chip ?It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0
