Leased line advice

Hi, I need some advice on getting a leased line for a rural location. I need to know what I need to consider and any recommendations for companies to approach.
The questions/considerations I have so far are:
- Uptime (I thought this was guaranteed at 100%?)
- Fixing issues (how quickly do they fix issues)
- Survey (is this for determining the scope of the install costs?)
Any advice and recommendations for companies to approach would be appreciated.

I don't know, but I'm guessing those that do will need to know where you live.
There are projects like B4RN which are location specific:

Good luck, hope it's not too expensive for you.0 -
Is this for a business?
"Leased lines" usually come with a 99.8% uptime SLA, as well as SLA on maximum packet loss and latency variation.
Issues are fixed very quickly, from minutes to hours, depending on what the fault is and who the fault lies with.
You mention a rural location, expect 'excess construction charges' going into 10,000s as you will bear the cost of fibre being run from the nearest carrier point-of-presence to your location.
If this is not for a business, or for a project providing fast internet access for a community, then it's not worth pursuing.
Check out the link andyca mentioned and also check out the BDUK programme at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/broadband-delivery-uk

Hi and thanks for the responses. Its for business use but for an individual so its highly unlikely the person in question will absorb those costs if it does cost that much.
I guess next steps would be to see if the neighbours are willing to group together for meeting costs.0
