F1 on TV?

They need to bring back refuelling so that F1 teams can have different strategies. I do miss cars moving off with fuel rig still attached/going on fire during refuelling!0

C4 have got the same broadcast rights that BBC had - BBC had to pass it off to C4 to save money. If they hadn't, then BBC would have shown the same number of lives races that C4 are going to, and the same number of highlight races.
Now Tv is probably the cheapest legal way to see all the live races - cost about £6 for 24 hour pass I think. The qualifying and race are usually slightly more than 24 hours between start and end, so it would probably only work for the race. If you get a pass for the races that aren't live on C4, and watch the rest on C4 - would cost you about £60 - £70 for the whole season even if you can't find cheap passes on e-bay. Cheaper than getting Sky. If you haven't had Now TV before, you can get it free for 30 days as well, but you may need to look around for any free sports passes.0 -
Seriously, you find talking about rule changes more exciting than racing? I fall asleep in about 25% of the races and ive been watching f1 since i was born. Formula E is the future F1 is archaic and has little to do with racing or the fans anymore. Even the majority of drivers find it tedious now (got a feeling the pay cheque keeps them there though.). If we're lucky we'll see some progress when bernie pops it.
Formula E - Has been or never will be drivers, driving cars that can only manage half a race before the battery runs out and they have to swap to another one, with most events taking place on Mickey Mouse street circuits. No thanks I'll give it a miss.0 -
BTCC is much more exciting and unpredictable, plus you have the UK weather in the mix! Driving on the limit each and every lap.0

Are you only a 'driver' if your in F1? Because theres quite a few who are only there because of the sponsorship attached.
I like le mans starts so the swap over, i think, is pretty cool.
Not sure why the circuits are mickey mouse but i love street circuits, one mistake and your out unlike the majority of the recent new circuits in F1. The only new one i like is Singapore and its a street circuit. the lights probably help too.
Suppose it depends what excites you, bureaucracy bores me though and racing excites me. Not stopping me getting up riddiculously early on sunday though!0 -
F1 is all about the money and will go to the highest bidder who is supported by the fools and their money that are easily parted paying their monthly subs. F1 is not about the racing, it is all about the circus that goes with it.
Did you watch Speed with Guy Martin last night ? Guy Martin v David Coulthard. Guy turned up in a van with bike and mechanic. David turned up in a 40ft truck with a bank of computers and a massive team flown in from all over the world. Man and bike vs a clone computer car and driver. F1 is about as exiting as a scalextric race, maybe less so.0 -

Guilty just signed up to sky, in my defence i was given a friends and family pass so £30 for the full packageDid you watch Speed with Guy Martin last night ? Guy Martin v David Coulthard. It gets worse, i didnt, though fancied it, was watching a bunch of primadonna's playing football:eek:. Guy martin is a class act, im surprised he had a mechanic seeing as he is one! Probably just someone to talk to so he didnt have to hear the drone of Coulthard.
Im the worst, sit there complaining about money in sport yet only murmur my discontent and go on to watch the next event... thats the grip it has on you, its like crack!0 -
For the first season ever I am not going to bother with F1, tbh I lost interest when Schuey retired the first time round and last year only watched the first 3 laps then checked the results after the races.0

F1 is the most boring motorsport on tv now, im a big petrolhead but would rather watch Clarkson driving a reliant robin for 2 hours than suffer all the overpriced garbage that F1 has turned into now0

Ok, that has stirred up a hornets nest!
My son has given me a little black box that he says should enable me to watch the whole race but now I have to set it up and see, I plugged it in and there are lots of icons to choose from! Need time to work it out so thanks for all the comments.0
