Just had the usual freaked out reaction when I saw a flea running across my dogs tummy.

He's had a slightly itchy skin problem , so I cut out flea treatments to see if that helped. He jumped into a river, In a park after his ball, don't know if it's coincidence or whatever but the fleas started around that time.

I have very few carpets in my house , and my mobility isn't 100% at the moment and I've got pain but what should I do?how do I clean the house? I've thinking sofa-oak floor boards - stone floors??? Car?

I've immediately treated him with advocate sp.

You can get a long lasting spray fort he house/car. Acclaim, Zodiac, Indorex

Fleas lay their eggs in dark places such along the top of skirting boards, under and down the side of cushions on chairs etc. in crevices. Anywhere the dog has lain such as beds, carpets etc.

Hoover thoroughly then spray according to the instructions.

I'm currently using Seresto on my 2.

however I came across this & thought I'd share. It would be good for someone to give their comments on use of this:
