Perhaps the internet isn't for you.

Oddly enough, the man who invented it says it is far more for me than it is for you.

Dandy Candy, maybe send a little "sorry" card to receptionist? They must have to put up with all sorts of situations, but you were not having a good day, I'm sure they'd understand, & appreciate you dropped them a line.

I seem to have missed a whole storm, hope we can get back to the supportive WaSness we have all enjoyed for so long, is it really 3 years? Wow. Poor WaS, apart from anything else, it must be hard for her in this heat. Hopefully things will be a bit more comfortable now.
Deal with things as they are, not as they should be.

That's a good idea. I'm sure they get a lot of rage from patients, but also understand that illness and medications can make people act out of character.

On another note, this quote might be useful, and effective, in the current situation:

    QUOTE
Peace requires something far more difficult than revenge or merely turning the other cheek; it requires empathizing with the fears and unmet needs that provide the impetus for people to attack each other. Being aware of these feelings and needs, people lose their desire to attack back because they can see the human ignorance leading to these attacks; instead, their goal becomes providing the empathic connection and education that will enable them to transcend their violence and engage in cooperative relationships.
    Marshall B. Rosenberg
    UNQUOTE.

    Congratulations Pyxis.

Dandy, a lot of the doctors' receptionists I've encountered have been so stunningly rude that people losing it with them must be an hourly occurrence so I shouldn't worry too much. I'm sure they'll appreciate an apology but it's also likely to be something that they're so used to that they won't give it a second thought so don't beat yourself up about it.

Thanks for the article Lambyr, an interesting read. This article from the Grauniad is rather thought-provoking too:

    I've got ADHD-PI!

I've been for the second assessment and there will be a looooong pause while the nurse prescriber, consultant and GP sort out tests before 'we' start drug trials. Yay!

On the one hand, I was expecting this. On the other hand, I feel shocked. This is life changing stuff. I don't know what's going to happen
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...
