When prices are lowest which may be now or it may be in 6 months. A better question is how much you should expect to pay.

You need to provide more info. Where are you flying to and from? What time in January? Are you flexible with your dates? Are you willing to connect somewhere?

Hi mandy jayne, thanks for your post and welcome to MSE.

January has some peak travel dates, usually around dates that include people maximising their Christmas holidays, if you can go in the second half of January to avoid these you will get better value for money.

There are also a good number of airlines doing one and two stop routes requiring a change of aircraft, sometimes the fares are quite low, but the total travel time can be very long and have 2 nights on the aircraft with the stop over bit during the daytime, you might arrive very tired and it would take longer to get over the journey.

If you fancy a stop over in Dubai, Doha or Abhu Dhabi, the Middle East airlines can be great. A travel agent such as Trailfinders can sometimes offer flight and hotel deals with the hotel stay at the Middle East city. Sometimes you can just pay a deposit for these.

I find the direct non stop flights that arrive at BKK about 4-6pm to be good. Thai airways and Eva air can be good.
