I also agree with you here. People are free to have their opinion and voice it. Just saying that, in my opinion, marksoton's comments were not helpful to the OP and didn't address the question. I also felt that the OP was treated quite harshly for asking a simple question (and I'm not a fan of bullys). Again, just my opinion. :D

    So report the posts.

And i was perfectly helpful. Ask the bloody council! Are you really so naive as to think there's a reason the OP refused to answer that question.Repeatadly.

    "Ask the b****y council" isn't a question. ;)

Please try to keep up. The OP did confirm that they contacted the councils RTB section and they will be entitled to the maximum discount if they decide to sell (Post 32).

The fact is, the majority of the questions asked on this forum could very easily be answered with "Ask the Council", "Ask your landlord" "Ask the estate agent", "Ask your solicitor" etc etc. The reason people ask questions here is to get good advice and information fairly quickly without the need to go through these other channels.

But in this case the original OP is an absolute. Are bungalows exempt.

And guess what, there's only one body that can answer that. The council.

    Dear me.

Nonsense, it was answered on this forum!

Only the council can confirm whether they would be willing to sell the OP's bungalow specifically but that wasn't the question.

The question was regarding Bungalows being excluded from the RTB scheme completely - the answer is no.

You quite happy to leave it there seeing as the OP is no longer commenting?

You two should cuddle it out
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

Gladly. Mainly because the whole thing smells of BS anyway.

Marksoton, why dont you just give yourself a rest! You come across a very mad and angry person who doesn't really listen to the actually conversation at hand.

It's like trying to talk to a child while the ice cream man is driving past, they just do not listen.

Even if the council decided the bungalow was particularly suited to elderly/disabled people the OP could try to challenge the decision.
