We have discussed demand for housing many, many, many times.
Australia has a higher rate of immigration than the UK. Although apparently we only accept brain surgeons*.

To be fair, I think that they probably do realise that. What I suspect they are doing, is highlighting the problems caused on the supply side, with a hope that something will be done about it.
seems strange to me, how you can discuss housing problems in London without mentioning that the population is rising at about 100,000 per year, whilst the supply isn't even meeting the increase let alone dealing with the backlog.0 -
