Moving gas and electric meters outside

In my last house i asked about having the gas moved. It was in a little cupboard in the porch. All that was needed was for it to be turned around to face the opposite direction, then what was a blank wooden panel below the window be made into a little door (which i was doing myself). Forget now but it was hundreds. The only reason i wanted it done was i was always out at work and thought it would be easier for the reader. I didn't get it done.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Definitely a rip off! I expected it to be fairly expensive but I didn't think it'd be quite this much!! I'd be interested to know how long it actually takes? So far we've waited 7 weeks for somebody to come & check what actually needs to be done. Dreadful service...0

We just got both of ours moved. Had to contact National gas grid and national electric grid seperatly. Price was £1050 for electric meter to be moved and paid £550 my own electrician to make the move ready. Then paid just over £1000 for gas meter moved but that was all done by gas grid boxing outside etc.0
