€ to £s

Good Morning everyone.
Does anyone have any advice on changing a large amount of €s to £s ?
Need to work out the cheapest way of transferring money after selling a house in Europe. Is there a firm that continually offers top exchange rates?
Many thanks for your help - I'm trying to help an elderly friend and stop them being "done".

Used them myselfThe word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.0 -

On the other hand, for transferring a large amount bank-to-bank the fixed bank fees are much less relevant, if a decent exchange rate can be negotiated with either the sending or receiving bank, and provide better confidence.Evolution, not revolution0 -
What happens if you push this button?0

Use one of the comparison sites to figure out the best deal at a given time
fxcompared.com, for instance0 -
Ate there any protection for that money as it feels eerie to click the button of sending money (family savings from previous generation for example of money from house sale representing most of one's financial worth ) to some bank account in Lithuania that belongs to a private company. The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. But if they are not regulated it still is scary. .The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.

'scary'?
do you understand the process and timeliness of these transactions?
if not your argument is weak.
Back to the OP - you say you are trying to stop them being 'done'.
In what way exactly?
Security comes at a price, if you are paranoid because of the size of the sum of money then be prepared to pay the price of a bank to bank transaction.
If you are prepared to make a rational analysis of the risks and come to a different conclusion then a useful amount of money can be saved. It's called free market choice....The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
I do not understand it so I can not have an argument , I can only be scared:DThe word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.

Beware of XE and Hifx, as I found out to my expense, there is a disclaimer on their websites that they do not offer the displayed rates, they are just 'indicative rates' aka live market rates only.
I would recommend Thomas Exchange, they are constantly offering the best rates on Martin Lewis' Travelmoneymax and offer special rates and no fee for large transfers.:j0
