  • Afternoon All :hello:

I had a cheeky lie in this morning as it is a day off work for me today hence the late posting :). Had a great one to one session with my counsellor last night. She helps to keep me focused and motivated on myself and what's healthy and right for me. This will be a great year for me :)

My small list today has been:
    Housework done.
    Checked all online finances.
    All meals from cupboards.
Washing done and drying on airer.
Trying for a NSD so that will mean no going outside :rotfl:
Still trying to work through a long term budget for myself :o I will get there.
Had a lovely long Skype chat with my cousin who lives in the Middle East :) She is being another great person in my support network.

I hope everyone is keeping well. Hugs to those who may need it. Stay safe folks.

    Pace :)
    Money scares me.

    Honesty update will arrive shortly......:o

I was disturbed by the cuts to disabled people's benefits in the budget Ally, while at the same time raising the threshold for higher rate tax :( I was a higher rate tax payer till recently, and personally felt it was right, as a higher earner, that I should shoulder more of the burden than those less fortunate. Not that I expected any better from this lot (I am a member of 'the other side', sorry if anyone offended :o)

    Morning all :)
Thanks for starting us off CCL :)
Just a quick hello, as it is grandma day, and little GD will be here shortly.

I shan't get much done today, but it helps DD out by saving her childcare costs :)

    * Finished off last of rhubarb from the freezer with breakfast porridge - moving onto blackberry and apple next :)
    * Quick tidy up and put away items I don't want GD to get hold of (knives from cutlery drainer etc)
    * Dog walk #1 done
    * Washing off airer, folded and put in airing cupboard

    Still to do:
    * HM meals from stores Done, HM olive bread, cheese and salad, followed by fruit loaf for lunch, jacket potato and LO chilli for supper, followed by a small bowl of stewed blackberry and apple and yogurt :) Actually, I have eaten too much today :o
    * Entertain GD for free Done, park, playdough, drawing, stories, playing in the sink, helping in the garden etc :)

I will come back later to update if I manage to do anything else. Hope you all have a good day :)

GD seems to be sickening for something (again :() as she seemed very tired and cuddly most of the time, so little extra accomplished here.
She made me laugh though, in one of her active moments when she was chasing the puppy round and round the sofa (and vice versa) screaming with laughter, she stopped to say 'naughty puppy, naughty baby' :rotfl:
Managed a NSD :T, though only the third this month so far, which is far from impressive :o
Heeled in the new raspberry canes that arrived from an ebay seller, and GD helped by watering them with her little yellow watering can :) I will plant them in their proper place when I get a minute
Also received the other pair of 'new' ebay shoes that I won - these are brand new, someone's unwanted purchase, and cost about a quarter of the retailer's price - and I love them :D
Watered tomato seedlings, which now live on the dining table (well, it is a big table, and I don't mind sharing with them - it is covered with oilcloth so no worries about water leaking onto the table itself :))
Managed a couple of surveys for onepoll :)
Checked FPL (to no avail as usual :rotfl:)

New poster here, so hello to you all!

Some of you have big lists and have done so much, so mine will look measly but at least it's progress.

    *Looked at bank accounts online
*Used up the small portion of roast beef by making it along with chiles, beans, garlic and a small cubed baked potato into yummy burrito mix for tonight's dinner. I'll roll it up in tortillas after I add shredded cheese.
*While looking in the fridge, I discovered two large suspicious looking zucchini, so that ended up being 3 wonderful smelling loaves of zucchini bread... One for now and two for the freezer.
*While he was out at a doctor's appt I ask OH to pick up on sale milk x3.
*Nice day, no heating on in the house.
*Sorting out the income tax, for the accountant, to be taken in on Friday.
    * looked through my seeds to plant in our compost filled toilet rolls (sawn in half, set upright in tray and ready to go for tomorrow)
*pay some bills over phone to save on stamps
    *towels on drying rack
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Day 3 back at work done and survived - and there were certainly a couple of challenges there today that would have derailed me if I hadn't been in a brighter frame of mind. Got home just over an hour ago. Dinner done, and dishes left for dh who managed another 4 hours in at work this afternoon. :j
