    The son can apply for JSA - he will no doubt be encouraged to look for work by his adviser at the job centre, perhaps even receive some assistance with the search.

    I am sure that he will be moving on as soon as he finds something. He has only moved back home so that he can concentrate on actually getting a job and not have to worry so much about how he is going to pay rent in the meantime now his student funds and savings have run dry.


    Nobody wants to be living off their parents at that age and believe me he is no exception.

    Everybody, from the second post onwards, has told you that he can claim JSA and could have been claiming since he left university last summer. Instead of thanking them and letting the young man know this information, you still seem to be looking for a different answer. Apart from getting a job, there isn't one.
