Well I wanted a new phone for my O2 Sim Card so it was a good deal for me, they are available from orange for £149.99 too but on Orange PAYG.

I didnt fancy an orange one as I hate branding, especially when you have a different sim card in

They've been this price on the Orange site for a while now.

Also expect the price to continually reduce over the next few weeks as the newer 6230i version is imminent.

Depends what you want to remove? Cheap 'n' cheerful non-flash method:

Wallpaper/screen saver can be easily removed.

WAP settings can be changed manually.

Default right menu can be changed manually.

Start-up and Shut-down logos can be removed with a cable and MobiMB (ok, this bit will cost but if you know someone with them already... ;))

That's most of it, if the orange logo on the back facia annoys you it can be scratched off or covered. Or just replace it with a new facia.

Anyway, who sent it off topic, is £149.99 a good price for the phone, regardless of how it is bought
