Hi, we keep getting asked by Anglian Water to sign up for the above policy. Covers water supply pipes from the boundary up to and including the drainage/water in the home. Covers leaks, burst pipes, blocked drains etc. Has anyone any experience of this cover? Is it any good or a waste of money? Thanks for any help.

Check what is covered by your existing home insurance policies

If not entirely covered for what you want how much to add on?

For £6 it's worth a punt but not when it goes up to £36 next year. If you sign up make sure you put a big reminder in your diary to cancel it before the twelve months is up.

My house insurance covered mine when we had a leak a couple of years ago they also re-instated the block paving. Not sure if the AW deal does it.

Just seen this leaflet enclosed with our Anglian water bill

Lots of scary stuff about water leaks and sewage pipes that the householder will have to pay the repair costs for.
What it makes no mention of is where a Sewage pipe runs across private land to serve a row of houses, then it's Anglians responsibilty to resolve, and pay for, any problems.
