BT Mobile EU charges

I've recently joined BT Mobile, and have a trip to Portugal coming up this weekend. After looking at BT's website, it seems their charges are far, far higher than the EU capped charges. I was just wondering whether I'm missing something, or how they're getting away with this.
Also, does anyone have cheap suggestions for cheap roaming in Portugal? I'm there for 5 days. One. Getting one of the iD monthly plans and cancelling it seems like it might work...
Thanks in advance!

I presume you have made a mistake with your looking at their website.
Zone 1a is EU.
16.6p per minute outgoing, 4.3p incoming, 5.2p per text and 17.4p per MB. Those are the current EU rates.====0 -
Thanks very much, I think I was getting confused and just looking at the Roaming zones. Thanks!0

No problem, their tariff guide isn't the easiest to read. You would think the Mobile section would have its own separate guide.====0
