in Water bills
Hello,
I am in a very confusing and weird situation. I moved to a house in which live 6 more people (I am renting a room from the agency) and one day someone knocked to the doors, unfortunatelly I opened it and he asked about some unknow name. My respond was that there is nobody here with that name and this property is now owned by agency and we are renting the rooms and he should call the agency. He asked about my name and surname (without checking any ID, etc.) and said that he needs it to say my name in the agency and that I spoke to him and said that nobody with that particular name (name that he asked) lives here. Now I received a bill from Thames Water for my (not fully correct but my) name and surname. I don't know how to deal with that problem, I am a foreign student.

What does your tenancy agreement say about the payment of utility bills, including water? Is the property an HMO? If so, the LL is usually responsible for water bills, and your rent would include an allowance for this. Is the billing for metered or RV supply? No free lunch, and no free laptop0
