As for the charge/PCN, I am not liable, the driver has not been ... turn on their own factsso I can make an informed . I require you to send me evidence of the contravention by email ...

If there is no liability, why ask for further evidence?

The only way that PE can serve this on the OP is to involve the local British Consul, a complicated and very expensive business. The Consul will charge £130 per hour or part thereof just to hand the document to the appellant.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

It's deliberate, to engage them in some email tennis.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hello again all!

I finally got a response from PE today, explaining that after a review the charge had been cancelled in January - which is nice.

However the address in the UK is still getting letters from DRP, much to their annoyance/worry. Do I need to contact DRP and request they stop harrassing those at the address?

Great, it was worth contacting them to get that in writing then. :D

Yes, I would forward the email from PE to Debt Recovery Plus:

    info@drpl.co.uk

add into the subject line, DRPlus' reference from their letters (it is different from the PCN number). And tell them to go swivel!

    :)

  • Hello again everyone,

Sorry to be a nusicance! I got a reply from DRP today which has left me very confused indeed.

They say that the notice does not relate to parking eye at all but a notice issued by Premier Parking Solutions.

I went back through all the documentation to double check everything. The parking reference number on the DRP letters is the one I sent to PE, which they replied saying the charge had been cancelled.

Are DRP messing me around or is it coincidence that two charges have the same reference? Thanks.

Send them a scan of one of their letters if you are certain you stated their DRPlus ref correctly in the email to DRPlus. They should all be different. DRPlus need their 'ref' more than they need the PCN number.
