Sky, Virgin, Talk Talk or BT for tv, phone and broadband

Hi all,

Can anyone kindly recommend the best way forward if possible? I guess that's a how long is a piece of string question but I am running out of time to choose a package provider and read about problems with all of the above providers so don't have a clue who to go with.

Ok, 2 years ago I got a sky friends and family deal tv only which was £25 a month for 2 years (that then went up to £30) this is due to expire in just over a month and after speaking to sky this package would cost nearly £80 if I kept it on so I need to change.

For broadband and phone I am with virgin which is £45 a month for a virgin box in the bedroom (sky box is in lounge) that includes weekend calls and broadband which the other half is always moaning is too slow! think I am on the big M package if that helps.

I have left it pretty late in the day to be searching around but ideally want a provider who can do the lot for a good price with a decent speed broadband, not fussed about having a landline and calls and could get rid of the virgin box in bedroom.

So current spend is £75 for everything, ideally I would like to reduce that if possible but any advice welcome

  • Keep the broadband and phone from virgin as their broadband is the best and would cost you around £30 a month and get a freetime humax box. If you would like to keep some sky channels get a Nowtv box with subs from £6.99 a month with no contract.
The freesat humax 1100s is a really good piece of kit.

Are you sure that your TV only deal will go up that much ?? I've got Family plus Sports plus HD (no films) and full price that would be £66.75 pm, but I'm only paying £29.85 pm plus I got a bill credit.:T
So have you got films as well? If so, then either knock off the bits you don't use or cancel and wait for a deal:):)
