Parking Eye PCN St Helens College

Hi
What to do next would be really appreciated.
On 22/10/15 I parked on the famous St Helens College car park thinking it was an extension of the Leisure Time car park. As you enter the car park there are two signs very close together; one says customer car park and the other says permit holders only! The car park has multiple islands but no barriers indicating which part is for the college only. As the parking spaces nearest the Leisure Time facilities were all taken, I parked in a parking bay one island away at 14:18 then visited the cinema.
As I use a company car, I was notified by my office that a 'fine ' had been incurred and the PCN subsequently followed dated 26/11/15. A camera system is now in operation and recorded my car entering and leaving the car park.
I appealed on 30/11/15 to Parking Eye and then again on 04/12/15 as I did not receive a response. As you can guess, the appeal was unsuccessful so I appealed to POPLA. I have now been informed that my appeal is also unsuccessful.
I have contacted Cineworld and complained to them as a patron of their facility but they will not get involved.
Based on other threads, is it a case of waiting for a solicitors letter and then feedback?
Kind regards

chances are that PE will send you an LBCCC and if you dont play "tennis" with them they will issue an MCOL from Northampton court
the chances of them dropping this are close to zero
the ideal solution is a landowner cancellation0 -
Wait for the LBCCC then email to make an offer if you wish, or respond robustly anyway:
enforcement@parkingeye.co.uk
if this is definitely 'ParkingEye' and not another firm.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the guidance. Excuse my ignorance but what is a landowner cancellation and how is it obtained?0

Given the time it has taken to get this far, I am happy to wait. All the paperwork has the official Parking Eye logo on it. Has a robust response ever worked? Thanks very much for your help.0

Having visited the 2014 Google Earth street view, unless the signs have been changed I am puzzled how you managed to park in the college car park.
Are you saying that the large public car park had no free spaces at all?
How long did you wait? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

I've done loads of robust responses to LBCCCs from PE and whilst I've assisted various friends, NONE went to court claims, however there was normally more leverage in a case, e.g. retail parks where a receipt could be provided even very late, etc.
Those had success every time but you can't do that. Hence why you might want to make an offer at LBCCC stage (but NEVER to a debt collector - if they send those letters just ignore them).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I agree, I would rather have root canal work than fight this one.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Watching this one myself, as I have a a few threatening letters relating to the same car park, but the vehicle in question is not one of mine, but does belong to a customer of mine.
Not quite sure yet how my company is listed as RK, still trying to resolve that one and the DVLA are being really helpful as ever.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
This webpage shows how they are managing. Note the comments about which entrances / exits are covered.

Yes I am saying this car park had no parking spaces and I was quite surprised given the time of day. As previously mentioned the signange is very confusing to the benefit of PE. The last thing I would want to do is park further away from the cinema I was paying to visit.
Does the time waited for a parking space assist the case?0
