I am what most companies would deem the perfect customer. Mortgage for 10 years, been in my job over 12 years, always pay my credit card in full on time (I only want another one as the 0% on purchases ran out) and nothing bad on my credit score at all.

I wouldn't say that!. Credit card companies make alot of money from people who keep balances and pay interest. Or those that mess up while on a promotional offer and then have to start paying the full interest. So paying off in full each month isn't always desirable to them.

Well I have the credit card, but not the pin number as of yet (although it might have arrived today).

I don't know my credit limit as it wasn't on the letter with the credit card.

I paid for dog insurance with it and also a wowcher deal over the internet, but then I thought, "Hang on, don't I have to activate it?" So I rang them up to check and the lady said that I have to use the card in a shop using the pin number to activate it.

So then I rang up the dog insurance people who said that they have definitely received the payment and the dog is insured.

So now I'm a bit worried that if somebody else had received the card in the post by accident, there is absolutely nothing stopping them just going ahead and using it via the internet!

    Congratulations on getting the card!!

Very bad security measures indeed, lucky you were the one receiving the card!!

With regards to the limit, surely it should say on the same letter as when the card arrived, as should be the case normally? Maybe you will receive a welcome pack or something...

No it didn't which I thought was a bit odd. Just assumed that it would say on the letter that came with the pin. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I wouldn't mind being able to log on my account on the internet, not sure if that will be a feature or not.

I guess it depends on how good your credit rating is, as to whether it is a straightforward yes or we want documents response when applying.

I got a Post Office card last year.

My application was smooth, approved immediately, no documents required.

I then got the card first, within a couple of days, then the pin a day or so later, then the 6 digit pin, you require to setup online access.

They now have an APP available on Apple and Android, which is easy to setup and use and I find more convenient than the web access.

One advantage of the APP is it allows you to make additional payments by debit card, the last time I logged in via the website that wasn't available.

Also despite still having 8 months of the original 0% left, they have also already offered a further 0% on balance transfers, which I thought was very good, even though I don't need it.

It's strange, I got the same card with no submitting of documents.
