3I have discovered DS took the bath sheet the bunny used to play on and chew back to uni with home, it is full of holes :rotfl:

Ha! Dont tell DH but a couple of weeks ago I was a bit behind with the laundry and he used a towel out of the airing cupboard that is strictly speaking the dogs towel.

Hoovering done, clean washing put away, footie watched, 3 out of the 4 of us fed, DH has gone to collect DS1, waiting for Mr A to arrive with the shopping.

Well done on the running FBO. I am itching to get out on the bike again but have to take it easy because of my knee (which also put paid to many years of running for me). Gym class tomorrow.

Once the shopping is here its jim jams and feet up for me. Going to be a busy 4 day week!

Oh the shame, I can only admit this here as I'm sure of some understanding...... FIL and his wife rocked up earlier, unannounced!!! DH is away, so me and kiddies are In Pyjamas and house is a pit as we all have flu, despite the fact I know they made a 35 minute journey...... I didn't answer the door..... Now I've just opened it and found an Easter egg hunt kit for the littlies! Feel
Awful now but seriously The house honestly, was shameful, you couldnt see the lounge floor for toys, or the kitchen work top for pots and pans from making bread and soup and pancakes...... And me well, I look like death warmed up and then some. Oh the shame, has made me clear up the lounge and the kitchen worktops though!

    :D Don't worry.
Why do parents (either kind) just feel it is OK to pop around, esp if their child is away? Why not just ring first, esp if they are coming over 30 mins and you then weren't in;)
I don't know if I could have not answered the door, but well done for staying firm. Esp if they have come far, you can't turn them away without a cuppa. I, personally, have given up worrying where my mum's concerned and ILs don't seem to notice!
Hope you get a good night's rest and feel better tomorrow. x

Didn't get any cleaning done today. Downstairs WC refurb starts tomorrow and at some point next week I will also have a working dishwasher, for the 1st time ever!
    I did manage to:
    Clear the ironing pile
Spend 3 hrs in the garden, getting rid of old strawberry plants and redistributing the compost from their pots elsewhere on the garden, some weeding and OH mowed the lawn (1st cut was awful, grass was too long) but at least it's done and both recycle wheelies are full, so can't do anything for at least 2 weeks!
Will pop on next week. Deep breath, as we plunge into another one.

Thanks kazwookie and bear, I have phoned and thanked them and have been given copious sympathy for flu and poorly littlies. But if they would have phoned I could have at least got dressed and done a mad dash! They do this every few months or so, you'd think they'd learn!!!! And I do feel bad and would usually have let them In, but today was at a whole New level of can't be arsedness, the look of me and the state of the house would have been enough for him to be ringing OH and asking him to file for divorce on grounds of my being a lazy, horrid faced old cowbag lol
As I said on the upside I tidied the kitchen and lounge and I have made scrummy bread for sandwiches tomorrow. Have made my shopping. List too. Will Hopefully Hoover in the morning, put DW and WM on, make cakes and have shower before icky paid stuff, here's hoping anyways.

Dusty re books I've sold some on ziffit, didn't get a huge amount but at least you get the decision if they want them and the price up front. You then just print a label off box them and take to local collection point - mine was local coop. Then about ten days later I got a cheque in the post. They will also pay via PayPal or direct into your bank if you give them details.

Dd2 has just gone home with her little family her birthday gifts and some boxes she wanted so a bit more gone.
