Help! Ebay addiction!

I was just the same - my homepage was Ebay!! Every spare moment (and moments I could not spare) were spent on Ebay! Then I thought - enough is enough! I got myself on a programme and locked myself in my bedroom with no PC and went cold Turkey! Seriously though, as the others have said, I really cant be bothered with it now - maybe check it out twice a week (changed my homepage!) Once you get the bug out of your system you have lifelong immunity!:jI have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0

Ebay is not the same as it was. The excitement has gone for me.
I list about 10 items a month...all at once.
I get really annoyed when no-one bids till about a minute to go.
I'll have been watching all week...waiting for bids, and get nothing until the last minute.
I think they should get rid of snipers.. they are taking the fun out of ebay.

I have to confess...I'm one of those snipers and that's what makes it even more exciting!!! Nothing like watching the auction count down for those last few minutes!! Now this is sad...tomorrow I'm going into work early so I can race home in time to snipe on an item I desperately want! **blush**0

I've nothing against people bidding at the last minute...it's just the sniper programs I don't like.If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

What are sniper programs?Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0

I've heard about them...the program will bid at the last minute in your absence. I think there's one that allows you three free snipes a week!!
I'm thinking of looking into it more but think it might spoil the fun!0 -

The idea was to get rid of my surplus stuff, but I seem to be replacing it with more stuff. How can I stop myself? My husband thinks its funny, but I eat, drink and dream about Ebay and how I can get my next 'fix'. What am I going to do? I'm going down a slippery slope to rack and ruin. I need to go cold turkey, else I'll end up homeless with just my ebay purchases to keep me warm!!!!!!!!!! Must go......got to check my Ebay account!
hehehee.... i have the same problem unfortunately. Its worse when you work in an office with access to the internet and are bored... your fingers start to wander and you end up browsing ebay looking for stuff to buy. All those things you have made do without for years but you can now buy.
It is very difficult to resist buying stuff. Luckily i keep reminding myself i started ebaying just to sell my old rubbish and so every so often i stick a load of stuff on there to sell. But, i think ive spent a lot more buying on there than selling!0 -

Have to agree. I used to hate snipers as id loose nearly all the auctions i was bidding on to them. So in the end, i thought that if you can beat them join them, and now im winning more auctions than ever.0 -
Ok - how do you become a sniper?Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0

You sit in front of your pc constantly pressing refresh in the browser every few seconds, then bid at the last possible moment on the item you are wanting. The idea is that you dont give anyone else chance to outbid you.0
