Help! Ebay addiction!

Help - please, I think I'm addicted to Ebay! So far I've bought 17 items and sold nearly 30 but I just can't resist a bargain and just keep bidding and bidding. The idea was to get rid of my surplus stuff, but I seem to be replacing it with more stuff. How can I stop myself? My husband thinks its funny, but I eat, drink and dream about Ebay and how I can get my next 'fix'. What am I going to do? I'm going down a slippery slope to rack and ruin. I need to go cold turkey, else I'll end up homeless with just my ebay purchases to keep me warm!!!!!!!!!! Must go......got to check my Ebay account!

Lyniced I think you need to get out more.
On a serious note, why don't you find yourself a new hobby which hopefully will take your mind off eBay?

sling the pc out the window that might helpThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0 -

Im the same! I look through Ebay to see what is selling and how much for and then find things that I would like myself! Ive sold more stuff than Ive bought but haven't really made much money. I just love looking at Ebay and seeing how my listings are going!0

I've been eBaying for years now. When I first started I couldn't get enough of it. Then my interest tapered out. Then I got back into it....etc Nowadays. I have fads on it. Buying wise, I've been "99p" purchasing recently which is starting to mount up now, i think its time to back to the real world!"There are no pockets in a shroud..."0

You are doing a lot better than I did.....I think I had bought about 100 before I sold anything!!!. LOL
Ma..... just checked what I sold......bah humbug!
Ps the novelty wears off....I remember a time where I didn't look for weeks!!!0 -
Ah.....so there is hope for me!! Actually I went out last night and din't think about Ebay once. Well maybe just a bit - my husband dragged me along to see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (a really awful film, in my opinion) - so my mind kept wandering..............'I wonder if I've won that auction' and 'I wonder if I've got anymore bids on such and such'. Mind you I read in a magazine recently about a woman who was so addicted to Ebay, she'd stay up all night bidding, even on stuff she didn't want. I know I'm not that bad -I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon.Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0

I used to be a little bit like this
but it really does soon wear off! I get really fed up with it now! Only look if it is someones birthday for that extra special comething! Most of the stuff nowadays is rubbish or expensive now! a lot of the sellers are shops anyway!

Great idea but if you're going to take up a new hobby you'll be getting the equipment on ebay
I understand the ebay addiction...I joined a week ago and not only am I addiceted to ebay, but this is now the forum I visit before all the others!!
Like you, I joined ebay with the intention of selling at a later date but all I've done is bid, bid, bid!!!
We'll have to change the name of this ebay forum to moneyspendingexpert.com!!0 -
