I'm really hoping OP isn't just incredibly dense.

I think the OP has already covered that.

    It's not them that's dense.

The dish is same as before when it worked .
Does it move that much ? It's on ground level to and has not moved .
    It is locked solid

I've highlighted the relevant part for those that have a lack of comprehension

Besides the snide comments I will state that it is a static caravan !
I am not dense I have freesat at home so know all about pointing the dish etc.
Today I will have a look at the dish as it is mounted at floor level .
It's just frustrating that my second visit in three weeks a day it's the same problem .
We have established it's not the both boxes so it has to be alignment.
Just don't want to be at the mercy yet again to an engineer .

Maggy50, Don't forget, satellite TV signals work on "line of sight". Your dish has to point directly at the satellite without any obstructions. (like shining a torch at a double decker bus 36000 miles away). If theres any obstruction or it's not properly aligned the dish wont be able to collect enough signal. You've previously said that the dish is locked solid, as the dish is at ground height is there anything that has appeared, been moved or repositioned which is blocking the signal? (Tree foliage in the summer is enough to stop a signal that was fine in winter)

Another quick thought, depending on the design of the LNB and how competent (or not) the installer was I've seen rainwater find its way into the junction between the LNB and the cable and give the classic 'no signal' screen on your TV. This shouldn't happen with a decent installation but...

Sorry, one more quick thought. Is the dish at ground level (as they often are at caravan parks)? Again, I've known for accidental football kicks to take a dish out of alignment just enough so that it's not aligned correctly.

Thank you teleaddict for your suggestions we had a look today and we found the outer casing has perished and it looks like it has been damaged as the copper mesh is perished cut through .
We had a storm and did receive quite a few knocks to the caravan sited near trees so therefore we assume that debris has damaged it .

We are asking the engineer to have another look as I am baffled why it worked the second time he came out the first time he put on a new LNB. It could be a case of wet getting into the cable break since then .

I wouldn't pay any money for someone too look at it. For the price of a call out charge you could buy a new dish, LNB and cable and replace the lot yourself. I have a touring caravan and setup the dish myself each time, it's easy to do and I don't even need to use a signal meter.
