Freesat

Does anyone know what is causing my free sat connection to have no signal.
We have it installed in our caravan last two times we had the engineer out he checked the fittings and even put on a new sensor.

It worked until we went home back now and no signal it is a bush freesat box and a bush TV .

Both fittings have been checked and dish but no signal cables all been checked too .
It's very frustrating 😑😑

Do you have satellite in your home sky or freesat that works?

Just test your freesat box from your caravan on your home based dish and report back.

    Cheers fj

Btw what is the new sensor? This isn't any satellite terminology that I understand. Do you mean a new LNB?

The dish is same as before when it worked .
Does it move that much ? It's on ground level to and has not moved .
    It is locked solid

I'm confused, I thought the bush was in a caravan, so the caravan doesn't move? fj

    This makes no sense!

    Let's get this straight.

At home you have a Manhattan box. It works?

Plug the bush in to the home dish feed and it doesn't work?

If the above is true the bush box is broken. Replace it

The manhatton box has been brought along to see if it's a case of the other being broken .
The manhatton worked before it travelled with us to our caravan it too says no signal so it is not a case of the bush freesat box being broken .

Somewhere between the dish and box there is a problem .
An engineer checked all the cables they are fine .

I'm really hoping OP isn't just incredibly dense.

I would imagine that on a caravan (not a static), you would have to adjust the dish every single time you park up AND when you get back home the caravan would always be in roughly the same spot (and therefore always work).

You do know that the satellite dish has to point at the appropriate satellite in the sky? It's not like a phone which will pick up a signal no matter which way you are facing.

So if you move your caravan you have to realign the dish; the signal comes from one particular point in the sky and you have to aim it there to get the signal - just as if I were throwing a ball to you - you'd catch it if you were facing me but not if you were facing away.

    Here's a guide
