Talk mobile price Match?
Hi, I have a contract mobile with Talk Mobile (my daughter age 14 has this), the upgrade is available next week and she is desperate for an iPhone 5S, although Talk Mobile have the 5S, it's cheaper through ID mobile, anyone know if Talk Mobile will price Match? Thanks

I doubt it, they're owned by Vodafone, who aren't interested in competitiveness in my experience. You can only try.0

You have given a 14yo sole access to contract sim card in your name?!Hi, I have a contract mobile with Talk Mobile (my daughter age 14 has this), the upgrade is available next week and she is desperate for an iPhone 5S, although Talk Mobile have the 5S, it's cheaper through ID mobile, anyone know if Talk Mobile will price Match? Nothing wrong with that. I have one with them, used by my 11 years old son. There is £1 cap on it..not that he uses all the allowance. The most he used in one month was 30 min (out of 3000 min), 200 txt (out of 5000 txt) and 1 GB (out of the 4GB). All this is costing me £5.80/month0 -

You do realise there is up to a 48 hour delay on their billing systems updating, the last Talk Mobile customer who I saw complaining also (stupidly) gave the sim to a youngish child to use and their child ran up a £600+ bill watching video over mobile data over the period of 24 hours or so.
They also thought they had a perfect child that never made mistakes till they realised they had been rather stupid to make that assumption...====0 -
Thanks for all your comments, my DD has had the contract for 2 years, since she was 12, there is a cap on the contract and I get a text to my phone if she's coming near to the limit, which has only happened twice. So I have taken the relevant precautions, she pays half the bill from her pocket money and therefore learning to manage her budget.Personal Loan: £11,488 3.7% Credit card: £5,946 0% Total = £17,4340

Just so long as you realise there is NO cap on data, you could use over £1000 of data in the 48 hours that it takes Talk Mobile to update their billing and by then it's a little late for the cap to work.
It's fairly easy for a child to miss that the phone has dropped from the wifi network and is now using mobile data.
Depending on the Talk Mobile price plan it could cost you 10p per MB, or £102.40 per GB, 720p video (like YouTube) uses around 1GB per hour, 1080p up to 1.5GB per hour.
10 hours use...====0
