BT hanging up after asking me to hold !!!

Got my BT bill today and it was way higher than usual. Checked the bill and wanted to speak to a BT advisor. Twice used the online chat service and eventually got through and in the end the BT advisor called me back on my phone. Spoke to them and they said they would pass me over to 'Customer Services' who would look into ways of reducing my bill. Got put on hold then they just hung up  Thanks very much BT.
Anyway, long story short is that I will call them now and see what happens. If they hang up again then I am definitely leaving BT as it stands I am almost 90% sure I will be leaving. BT 'Customer Services' don't think you offer a service to a customer here. Anyone else got any experience of this and how did you resolve it.

Yes I've had previous issues. I wrote a letter and put it in the post. If you're within contract you may be forced to stay or it'll be costly paying the contract out so you will need to fight it. If you're out of contract just go ahead and leave.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Coming to the end of my contract so got the power of that to persuade them to cut my bill. Well that's if they ever answer :mad:0

You will get better deals switching suppliers and getting cash back though Quidco or Topcashback. You just need to take into account the "hassle" factor. Your internet and line will down for several hours while they switch it over.:footie:

The "hassle" I can deal with as it can't be any worse than the "hassle" of getting to speak to a real live BT advisor. Even now its an automated reply and I hate talking into these things !!!0

Well eventually got to speak to a real 'person' :j and they had a look into my bill. Seems like I had came to the end of my offer period and the prices of things had reverted to the correct price, schoolboy error on my part I must admit, as should have had it in the diary. Anyway had a look to see if things could be cut, aka haggle, and decided to renew contract and got the promise that next bill will be at least £60 cheaper. Hopefully all's well then0
