Surely it is 14 days from the date that you enter into the contract. Is there not still a requirement for the supplier to provide written details of the contract and a cancellation option?
Either way why worry. You owe Npower nothing and are therefore surely free to just make another switch if you so wish
From the OFGEM website:
2.3. A contract will be treated as terminated if a customer sends a notice of cancellation during the 14-day cooling off period. This means that a notice of cancellation sent at any time during the cooling off period will be valid even if it is actually received by the trader after the 14-day cooling off period has expired8.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Wouldn't use npower again even if they paid me. Incompetent company. If by some slight chance you actually receive a bill it won't be even remotely accurate, even if you gave them actual readings. Then the fun really begins. And don't get me started on when they send someone round to read your meter. Thinking of switching to npower? Don't.Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.
