Ah, yes, I hadn't thought of the ensuite. I don't really know anyone who has one so 'one bathroom per household' is more normal to me.

We are the same...only one bathroom in my household.

I once rented a caravan holiday and the van had an 'ensuite' to the 'master bedroom' - I couldn't use it.................it was a bit too close to the bedroom for my liking! call me oldfashioned but I do like a bit of privacy to let rip. besides, my OH thinks people farting on the loo is absolutely hysterically funny! So I don't think an 'ensuite' is a requirement in my house anyway.

I find en-suites off-putting, unless it is a hotel room in which case its a given. The idea of using a toilet adjacent to a living space...uuugh :o

I hope they'd learned the lesson that 'named brands' aren't always best. I shudder to think how those children would grow up if at six and nine they were so concerned about names and cost. I suppose with my children grown up and no grandchildren yet I'm out of touch with how things are today but it did seem very shallow and materialistic. They actually seemed like a nice couple though.

However, I did feel uncomfortable with the things that were said about Barbour. I think there is a difference between the 'designer' fashion of having lots of shoes and handbags that cost a fortune, and something of quality that is meant to last a lifetime. Also, Barbour is 'made in Britain' and I like the idea of repairing a faulty zip rather than throwing the item away. Old fashioned, I know!

New family tonight, again label lovers. I guessed at the jeans he loved being sainsburys. I really like their clothes. However I really don't think that supermarket clothes last asking as the more expensive stuff.
I have a couple of boden dresses, they have been worn and washed no end of times and still look to be in good condition, however some of my supermarket stuff does not stay looking that good for as long.
I tend to take that into consideration when I'm buying. Sometimes I do pay a bit more, if I know the style will last a few seasons and its a good make.
  • At half time in the Arsenal match, I flicked through the channels. So this huge guy, on about creams and potions. How it was easier to spend more money on so call ethical blah blah blah.
It was aimed at the stay in rose tinted cottage, where outside is a utopia based on face cream.,
As for the BoP, I do not buy creams and potions!

Saw the first one and second half of last nights.
The couples appearing are either actors or just plain stupid.
What they are being told is only common sense.
You want an item, you shop around for the best price.
Named brands are dearer and are probably no better most of the time.

The funniest thing is, when they are told the amount they could have saved on each item, is the constant "wowing", wow, wow, wow.

I can't believe that people think like either of the couples in the programmes.

Surely people don't think that expensive automatically means better and cheaper is always rubbish?

The charity shop examples were a bit unrealistic too. You'd have to be very lucky to find something that fits and you like and is a nice designer item in a charity shop, unless you have absolutely loads of time to devote to the exercise. I know I couldn't be bothered.
