It was from Aldi. I'm trying it when my current bottle runs out!0 -
The thing is - if your skin and scalp is able to handle all the SLS's that's in that shapmoo, then all is well. My scalp can't handle shampoos with SLS & Paraben's in them - itchy's like crazy, so I pay a little bit extra for my shampoo.
But i try and get my shampoo when they are on offers - won't pay full price if I can help it.0 -
Yes, she shampoo was from Aldi. It's a copy of the Herbal Essences ones I think (I have tried the blue coloured one which is for dry hair, and it was okay).
Very much better however is their copy of L'Oreal Elvive Full Restore 5 which they sell for 99p. It's called 'Refine' and it's totally fab, both the shampoo and conditioner (I use the one in the black bottle, and can highly recommend it).

Their lifestyle's nothing like I've ever experienced.
She needs a good kick up the 4rse and he needs to get a grip and slap her into line.
Poor fella.
Well he seemed to be just as bad as her really and she worked too.
Even if it was only part time presumably she spent the rest of the time looking after their children etc.
For every woman who overspends on clothes, makeup and handbags, there is usually a man gambling or buying gadgets, cars and sports tickets /equipment IME.
They were both idiots chasing the consumer dragon so lets see past blind sexism shall we.
i'm curious as to what bathroom facilities they actually had in that house. Presumably they hadn't lived for months on end with no shower and toilet at all?0 -

It was good enough TV to get us watching and talking about it, I would think any relationship where 1 person wasted money while the other scrimped would be doomed. They were both careless. I would bet they have an ensuite shower room and probably a downstairs toilet, most modern homes do.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0 -
I caught 5 or so minutes of it and thought "same old, same old".
Silly consumers being shown how much they were wasting on 'stuff'.
Cue gasps of shock, wide eyes, open mouth.
Turned the TV to something more interesting.0 -

I don't think you should be condoning violence towards anyone.0 -
What struck me was he did appear a bit vain and a tad shallow - very much impressed by appearances, taken in by brand names, designer this and that, flash cars on the drive.
30 minutes of showering, primping and preening to get ready for the school run.......a new jacket for work when even his wife pointed out that he worked from home:rotfl:
They struck me as a pair of children playing at house, dressing up their children like dolls, especially the baby girl. Madness.
They did at least seem to see the error of their ways by the end of the programme and seemed ready to learn and change.
They weren't bad people, just a bit misguided.
I guess it's easy to be silly with money when you are young and impressionable as this young couple were. I know I was
Hopefully they have now had their LB moment.0 -
They reviewed waterproof jackets
By what.... squirting some water at them? and then deciding surprise surprise that the near cheapest one was just as good as the most expensive one.
Might I suggest that there is far far more to getting a decent rain jacket than just squirting some water at it.
I also noted that they glossed over the rubbish cheapo hair straighteners but went to town on all the supposed saving by buying cheaper things.
Anyone remember Hughs war on waste with the huge pile of clothes that we throw out each day? One of the presenters smugly told the Barbour worker her coat (with there crap stiching) cost £20. It's these sorts of clothes that end up being thrown away at a whim as there're so cheap and disposable. There's also the case that Barbour are employing British workers on British wages paying British Tax's to pay for the NHS and schools etc. rather than a Chinese worker working in a sweat shop making an item that's transported 3/4 of the way round the world to be sold by a person in a shop being paid minimum wage and needed benefits to top there wages up to be able to afford a basic standard of living.
Think about that when you go into your cheapo discount shops.0
